There are three aspects of good electrode paste geometry in the use of electric furnace.
A side feature of the electrode. The electrode shape formed after sintering of electrode paste can reflect the oxidation resistance of electrode paste and the quality of raw materials of electrode paste; The smoothness of the electrode paste surface reflects whether the raw material ratio of the electrode paste is reasonable; At the same time, it also reflects the mathematical characteristics of open arc.
Working length of two electrodes. It mainly refers to the length of the arc starting part when the electrode is inserted into the electric furnace. This is determined by the resistance value of the electrode. A large resistance value of the electrode causes the temperature of the floating surface on the electrode to rise, the branch current to increase, the open arc to increase * and the power used at the end to increase. Therefore, we should carefully adjust the resistance of the electrode to achieve the purpose of controlling the working length of the electrode.
Three electrode bottom shape. Including the flatness of the bottom, whether there is crack, the size and length of the crack, as well as whether there is chamfer, the size of chamfer, etc. The flatness of the bottom reflects the degree of electrode consumption and arc deflection. The chamfer size reflects the consumption of the electrode side. Practice has proved that adjusting the aggregate ratio of electrode paste can solve the problem of chamfer size and achieve the purpose of adjusting the consumption of electrode paste accordingly.
